The VERTEX team is dedicated to the use and development of the most advanced techniques in interventional pain medicine.  Through compassion and respect for our patients, we strive to empower our patients to manage their pain and reclaim their lives.

Doctor Rupert is multi-boarded with a very unique background.  After years of orthopedic research, two engineering degrees and initial surgical training, he completed a residency in anesthesia then trained under world-renowned Gabor Racz in interventional therapies.  He has continued training through the World Institute of Pain as a Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice and is a Diplomat of the Board of Interventional Pain Physicians.

VERTEX is considered an Interventional Pain Medicine practice because we work primarily through identification and treatment of disease by use of pain pathways along the nervous system. Traditional imaging studies may not have identified a clear source or treatment pathway when patients come to see us.  Minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment is the heart of what VERTEX has to offer.  These are often injections or other minor procedures, but it is ultimately the treatment plan that is our area of expertise.
